Hospital goes green with JCM support

On the afternoon of October 2nd, 2015, in Hanoi, Viet Duc Hospital, Mitsubishi Corporation and Ho Chi Minh City Energy Conservation Center had a ceremony for the acceptance of project equipments to Viet Duc Hospital which became the first hospital in Hanoi to join the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM). This project is supported by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan (METI) through the Department of the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO).

Second call for request on JCM Model Projects in Fiscal year 2015

MOEJ has started second call for request of the “JCM Model Project” from 7 September 2015 and the Deadline for entities to submit their application is 18 December 2015

Basic Concept of the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM)

The JCM facilitates diffusion of leading low carbon technologies, products, systems, services, and infrastructure as well as implementation of mitigation actions, and contributing to sustainable development of Viet Nam.It appropriately evaluates contributions to GHG emission reductions or removals from Japan in a quantitative manner, by applying measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) methodologies, and uses them to achieve Japan’s emission reduction target.
